"Gracing the stage before Vance on this huge run of shows will be Brisbane indie pop darlings Cub Sport, still glowing from their latest LP Bats, and Melbourne-via-Warrnambool troubadour Didirri who wants "to recreate that feeling of someone telling a story around a campfire" in his songwriting. (Hear more if his wise words in this Unearthed video profile)."
"In this moment it becomes evident why this guy, both in person and on stage, is so disarming: There’s no act. He’s not pretending to be cool—or anything else for that matter—and seems to find validation in honest interactions."

Meet one of this year's most captivating new songwriters on triple j Unearthed.
"Keep an eye out for Didirri and Stella Donnelly: Young singer-songwriter Didirri was one of the talking points of the festival, with punters spilling out into the street at his Wednesday night showcase, unable to fit into Ann Street venue Laruche and forced to instead watch him from the street, through the venue’s windows. A relaxed onstage presence and casual in-between song banter belied the musician’s age, while his plaintive acoustic songs silenced a room full of industry — a rare occurrence. The next night Perth singer-songwriter Stella Donnelly managed a similar feat, mesmerising the audience with her concise, sometimes hilarious, sometimes heartbreaking songwriting and incredible voice."
"It's been a watershed year for Didirri so far, having recently won broad acclaim with his showcase appearances at BIGSOUND and supported acts such as Oh Pep!, Jack River, Tash Sultana, Pierce Brothers and The Jezabels. He knows how to fill a room on his own merits, too, having sold out his debut headline appearances in both Melbourne and Brisbane in recent months."

The 10 best live shows of 2017 according to triple j presenters
"The first time I saw Didirri I left after one song.
It wasn’t because he sucked. The room was full, I was in a bad spot, barely inside the venue, and I couldn’t immerse myself in his show as full as I had wanted. So I left. I owed it to him and to myself to experience his show the right way."
"One of the many cliches about the music industry is the quest for an artist who is ‘the full package’. With charm and talent like his, Didirri will find himself in hot demand very, very soon."
